About the Course
The General Nursing and Midwifery course is a 3-year program offered in Padmashree School of Nursing, with inbuilt of six month internship within the curriculum. Examinations are held annually. Students will gain clinical experience in various hospitals and community settings under the guidance of teachers.
Attainment of optimum health is the desire of every individual. Health of the people is an index of the level of development of a country. The achievement of a country in preventing diseases and promoting health depends upon the contribution of all members of the health team particularly that of nurses, who form a major group.
Education is the key of all the progress and achievement. Educational preparation of nurses, who contribute primarily towards the health of the community, needs constant attention keeping in mind the changing health needs of the society. In the light of the changing educational system of the country, the course in General nursing has been re-organized into a three years programme.
